You need to remove the glove box compleatly. Behind the glove box you should see a plastic bracket containing the ecu, i have placed mine on top of this. No you do not need to disable the unit on the back of the speaker as it is not an amp as such, this unit does the crossover for the front speakers...

Russel,
The way i would do it is to measure the distance between the 2 speakers, then take the measurment from the centre point to the ear.

Perhaps it may take a couple of people who have this set-up to do settings then the best can be made up from them.

My Alpine/iPod adaptor was also installed behind the glove box. It was fitted free by the audio shop that I bought the head unit from. They said there was plenty of room, although I'm not sure of the precise location. It was a 10 minute job.l There is a fitting place behind the glove box it is wher...

I have just got the new Alpine system(CDA-9835R) with Ipod link for the Zed. Hopefully it will get fitted this weekend. I will be setting up the delay settings and will post them. It is fairly straight forward. I would keep the system as 2 way. I will post a full review and install pictures on to my...

Adam, I use the tomtom Bluetooth and have never had a problem. My dad uses the navman jacket on his. With TomTom you can use the safety camera database you can't on the older Navman only version 3. Both tt and Smartst bond in with your ipaq and cannot be transfered, which unfortunately means you can...

I tried all the different locations, up to 70mph with the roof down. Just above the middle air vents on the drivers side came out the best in all the test i did. It also allows for easy installation as you just pull out the air vent unit then route the cable. I have installed 3 kits with the mic in ...

An aftermarket kit will always be the best option as its not restrictive to what phone the car company decides to adopt.
There are kits now that allow you to link into the cars features, IE steering wheel controls and satnav screens.

Martin it also depends if you have the mounting brackets already installed if not you will need to get them as well. Heated rear window on a hardtop

As some of you may be aware i have just got a new 3.0, It came with a hardtop that was ordered new with the car. The thing i am puzzled about is that it does not have a heated rear screen switch. Although i don't disbelieve the dealer, he reckons it does not need one as it is wired in with the heat ...

first one was in my van 32 in a 30. I think what made it worse was that i nearly ran the policeman over. He jumped out from behind a tree and i had to take evasive action, emergency stop and swerve. He was going to do me for driving with undue care and attention until i pointed out if this was the c...
