I'd agree with Rob - on sth like the BMW straight six you'll get a lot more out of sorting the handling which is old fashioned to say the least. Foremost buy the best boots you can afford. Then look at the suspension etc. In fact in terms of grunt you'll get better gains out of the ZM by shortening ...

wheel has always been the tell-tale as it's a pain to replace or re-hide and takes the majority of wear.. I'd agree I've never seen a rim so worn even in cars with nearer 100K..

trying to think for another reason other than clocked miles.. :?

It's a pre-01 car and the torque could be as much as 50% up - you'd def need a Racelogic system on there and need to include this into the cost.

You can never have too much power :lol: I think 380bhp would put it nicely back out there as a very quick car, these days a Z3M's performance isn't leagues ahead of today's quickest hot hatches. I'd agree not to mention getting into the actual horsepower debate - as long as you think about the rest...

I disagree - with the hood up the doors obstruct the easiest way out - a more convetional system would work better imho.

For some reason the doors fail to open 90 degrees - because of the angle that will make it harder to stand up normally.. hard to be sure form jst a photo of course. :?

Some TVRs are more reliable than others, the Griff had fewer things go wrong than my ///M. The SEAC was a little more tempremental but then again it was built in 1987 and had over 400bhp are the SEACs as fast a as folks say - I've heard reports the 420 was pretty much as fast as the 450... 8-) One ...

M Blur - the comparisons are even less useful if the person who is the Stig for that day - since it is 90% confirmed that there is a team of them by Perry McCarthy - is not the same as drove the CSL or the GT3 or whatever model the comparison is drawn against Good point Dave - makes it very tricky....

Compared with even the regular current BMW range the ZMs are pretty soft IMO. My M Coupe felt pretty soft as standard, firmer than the very soft 2.8, but still more body roll etc than you'd expect. but shouldn't confuse mere dampers with chassis - I hear the MCs respond very well to coil overs and ...

Good point Robin, and yes there is a huge difference, but bear in mind that my ///M is an S54 which has the much uprated suspension and stiffer chassis similar to the ///M Coupe, compared to the S50.. Not to get too OT on this but an S50 Coupe Chassis is still superior to an S54 MR - no substitute ...
