sorry, i didn't realise the carpet was nylon. :( i replaced my carpet when i did the interior colour change. it is easy enough to do apart from 1 thing - the heater matrix is in the way. i actually cut my old carpet out and then cut out the section under the matrix from my new carpet then fitted it....

a widebody car has a wider axle than the narrow body which shares it axle width with the M so the M wheels fit better......well, that's my belief anyhow.

Cobra do a good SS cat back system. i have one of their systems on my Impreza and they are great quality and sound great too.

i have now replaced all of my interior (beige to black) apart from the seats. all i have found so far are overpriced and in OK(ish) condition. my beige seats are in really good condition having been treated regularly with only a slightly lighter patch on the drivers bolster instead of the usual scag...

mine started doing exactly the same, just out of the blue one day a couple of weeks ago.
i unplugged the MAF and it ran fine so i bought a genuine Bosch MAF (from a BMW breakers near me that was tested and guaranteed), plugged it in and it now runs fine again.

for a start they are different engines....the porsche has a 6 cylinder boxer so it sounds different but i believe it is mostly down to the exhaust and how it is tuned (silencer / resonator etc). i do a bit of motorsport and even some of the 1ltr micras in the events have a nice howl and all they hav...

i have found out that my reset tool doesn't reset the airbag on an E36, just E46 onwards (however it does reset the service lights )
anyway, i called the local BMW specialist and they said they will reset it for a tenner so happy days.

i connected the battery with the passenger seat out. there are no airbags in the seats are there?

I have bought the rustoleum plastic primer but i got a satin black. i have tried it out on a small piece of trim and it's too shiny then I'll just spray over it with matt.

I am in the process of changing my interior from beige to black.
i have removed the centre console but i want to replace the gearknob, the only thing is i can't figure out how to remove it.
(my Bentley manual only shows the removal of the American T bar type)

as above, i am in the process of uprating the interior of my Z3. i just want to know if Z4 seats will fit? i have seen a Z4 steering wheel on a Z3 which is something else i am looking into, is it an easyish swap?
