Re: Rain, rain go away

Thanks wonderloaf (and Rob) I had a feeling I'd being going in uder that plastic panel below the windcsreen but it's good to know I'm probably on the right track and what I'll find when I get there. Off to order a terminal puller and squirt some WD40 on the wipers spindles. Now if it would just stop...

Rain, rain go away

With all this rain my car has a leak for the first time ever. Searched the forum and checked the usual suspects. It doesn't seem to be the triangular bits at the top of the screen pillars. All seals seem ok and are regularly treated with Gummi Pfledge. Popped the hardtop on. Still leaks. It is only ...

Re: price for front bumper repaint

Watching this thread made me feel I'd paid over the odds for my front bumper respray at just over £300 but now I don't think so. It was done because some nerd scraped it in a car park so there was a bit of repair work to do as well as making the stone chips go away. That and the fact that I do think...

Re: Gear lever bushes

I have a Z3 3.0 and on my car you don't push up or pull down on the gear lever to get into reverse.

Just push it across to the left past where 1st and 2nd are, then push it forward and you're in reverse.

BTW, the box doesn't have the slickest of gear shifts and an oil change did help mine.

Or use a hairdryer to warm the centre part of the plate so it will take a small bend to match the backplate.

Be careful not to overdo it or the number plate will delaminate.
