Re: Cheap red leather seats and doorcards

It's a matter of personal taste. I have a similar interior in my car, & with the Sterling grey bodywork, it looks stunning. Much better than a nasty tan or beige interior, but then that is my view, not everybody's. I'm sure that lots of folk love the tan interiors... Personally, that would put m...

Alan, It sounds like your battery could well be on it's last legs. MIne did exactly that a couple of years ago, but it was the original BMW battery, so it had lasted well. Check that nothing is switched on & also that your boot light is going out as it should. A good way of doing that is by putt...

Re: Brought to my attention about uk road tax

Easy way around it?. Just use a foreign registered car permanently on UK roads (usually PL, LV, RO, LT, BG), just like many many do around where I live in East Anglia, & that way you're exempt from VED & MOT & the police will turn a blind eye to whatever state your car is in too. Simples...

I use mine too, easy to put on & off once you've done it a few times. Makes the car look much nicer.
I store it folded in the boot, which is where I think it's supposed to be kept.

The electric roof only kicks in once you've unclipped the handles, keep your foot on the brake, then push the roof up to the first fold in the linkage, once that happens the micro switch is fired & the motor takes over.

First of all, check that you have got the correct deflector for your car. If the car is a pre facelift, the distance between the legs on the deflector should be 75cm. If the car is a facelift version, the legs need to be 70cm apart. Once you have established that you have the correct one for your ca...
