Jury still out on plates.

I guess I would be interested in 800 MER (Boomer) but seeing as how 500 MER is valued at over £21K (well for sale at that anyway) I don't think I'll have any luck. Would sooner buy some more toyz for the wheels!!!

Wonder if you could shoe horn a M5 V10 in there?...

See ya in Norfolk and around....

rights relating to speeding

The thing to remember is that these various speed measuring devices are frequently wrong or not operated in a legally compliant fashion. For example with a regular gatso, are you aware that whenever the film canister is removed the seal is not allowed to be broken until it can be witnessed and that ...

Hi Benelvin

Yep, still alive.

I think maybe it is a little underpowered so will probably increase the boost and a get a live remap and possibly install some water/methanol injection in the next month or two. Don't want to overdo it :D

Thanks for the info guys.

Appreciate the comments about specialist servicing etc. Boomer get new shoes on tuesday. To be specific Front - 245/35/19 and Rear - 285/30/19 all Pirelli P Zero Rosso. Am also going to install Ultraseal to make them self sealing. All the info I have about it seems to be rated very good. If any of y...

Sycamore's Peterborough

Only used them for a few things. Service Dept seems reasonable. Parts Dept very helpful but sometimes forget to call back if they have to research something.

They can't service my ///M cos it is modified (well they could service the non-mod bits but whats the point) so cannot comment there.

Hi c_w

Thanks for the advice. Since your comment I have done a bit of reading up and think I will check in with an engineer to reinforce the essential bits as a preventative treatment. It would be a real pity to ignore it and then spoil a really good car. Thanks BTW: Does anybody know a really good indepen...

Re: Norfolk run

New member just bought a Z3 after 15 years with an MGA. Now I can drive more than 10 miles without worrying about the water temp. You all seem to know each other. Is there room for a newbie and still space at the hotel anyone know? We are Bob & Chris and really old but enjoy a good day out with...

Hi Lee

You are right, this car was the subject of some debate based on a few photos. As a guest on the site I read this debate with interest as I was interested in buying the car at the time. The questions raised then game me some good ideas to dig into in researching the car and when I had the vehicle che...

re cleaning etc

Hi Whiteminks, Thanks for the pos feedback. Personally I think that cars with subtle curves and fewer angular edges are the ones that look best in white. Cleaning not too much of a problem as I have a local bunch of lads who operate a hand car wash, are very careful, don't drive it (me do), and are ...

Thanks for the compliments guys

So far I have not found it too scary. Been careful in the wet the other night, but otherwise with thr dry road and lots of high bhp miles behind me it just seems fun. On the other hand once I have got it to somewhere between 500 and 600 bhp it might be a bit different. As the rears have 265's at the...

Cool car

Hi,

The 2.8 I had (it was a 97) also had a silver bit of trim on the bottom spoke of the steering wheel with SRS on it for the air bag. Was that only the earlier models?

I like the darker blue, looks a bit more subtle than some - makes a good Q car I bet.

More on Boomer

IBall, have you got pics of yours? Will have to keep a lookout. I have not really studied the diff mount and trunk floor. The engineer I used to suss it out before the deal said no problems. I do know that BMW over spec chassis and essential mounts by at least 80% on all hi-perf models. It has the e...

Re How many ponies

Not sure really. I have a couple of dyno charts showing before any mods at 328 and after chipping 347. Then the boost was added and an intercooler the size of a small country. It was variously advertised with 380 and 390 but that seems too low for 4.5 psi boost which should take it to mid 400's. I h...

Looks truly stunning in white Gazza. The specific white I am reliably informed by BMW is code 490 and some name in German that I cannot either pronounce or find a translation of (sonderlackierung). It was a special order. The first owner was apparently the same gent who totalled his white Lambo at ...

Z3MR Supercharged

Welcome to a few pics of Boomer. For those who don't know me I grew up in Oz. Down under a Boomer is a giant white old man kangaroo. Well my car is white, I's the old man, and the car's horses are giant and plentiful. Seems to fit lol! Boomer http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u25/namatjira_photos/Z...

Short story of how I ended up the proud father of a Z3MR. My Audi A8 4.2 QS got five finger discounted in January. If this is still going on then PM me.

Might be able to help.

Have been involved in examining admissability of technical evidence. Often can get cases thrown out because of failure to follow due diligence. This can happen even to the best of officers let alone some civvy in a partnership van.

Good luck anyway

Hi Guys, I am the bloke who purchased this ///M after a thorough going over. History is authentic, conversion work to very high standard. All mechanicals the best. The Z3M Supercharged I have just recently acquired has a Remus, sounds brilliant with a good bass note. If you like the low note, best achieved in a higher gear than you might normally use, ie., change to 5th asap and moderate accel. brillll
