i must have a heavy right foot. i get 30 - 35mpg from my 1.9 Z3 and as i said, i only got 18 - 20mpg from a 325i.

i can't comment on the Z4 but i had a 2.5 (325i) and was getting 18-20mpg.

the rear bushes should come off with a bearing puller. be careful with the Eurocarparts rear springs - i have a set and they sit too high ( i think due to the thicker wire) and i am having to replace them with genuine ones to get the ride height correct again. if you replace the springs and find one...

i have recently put on the poly-bushes and it makes a huge difference. the steering feels tighter, more stable and any signs of tram-lining / following any grooves in the road are completely gone. i recommend them.

ok, I tried a quote using my no claims and it came at approx. £150 but I need my NCD on my Impreza so the £211 wasn't so bad on a classic policy.

haven't found any problems with mine, the pedal feels the same as any other car I have owned so it could be your cable that is at fault.
