John, Gutted for you, though as you say cars can be replaced. I would image it will be a right off, in fact if I where you I would insist it be written off. Strange given the frontal damage that the Airbag didn't go off! Regards Jon PS Out your way next week Flying out to New York for a wedding and ...

I don't know about BMW but my first memory/sight of a Z3 was whilst on holiday in the States in 1996 I think, maybe '97, We were in Vegas and most of the casinos had Z3s (all Boston Green for some reason) up on stands with slot machines around them if you got the right combination on one of the mach...

That's horrible! Looks more like mould eventually leading to corrosion to me. You must have a leak somewhere and maybe you don't use your Zed very often so the air remains stagnant and moist? Prevention? Drive your Zed with the top down.... :D A. Thats the odd thing there is no leak that I can see ...

I'd have an M Coupe tomorrow (black with smoked chrome wheels, blacked out windows - pimped), if Sylv would let me. :bawl:   I can just imagine you arriving at a cruise in a coupe like that   , You could add flames down the side, and imagine the stereo you'd fit in the boot :sho...

As with nearly all Irish imports, the rear fog light needs fitting/sorting. Easiest way to spot one  Eh? We have rear fog lights here as well (as standard) If Its a car from Northen Ireland it will be a UK spec Car. If It's from the Republic it is likely to be a lower spec. To keep th...

Easy enough to swap the seats, however as Tony mentioned you will need switches and a relay. Also if the seats come from a face lift model you will need to change the electrical plugs on the seats to allow you to connect them to a preface lift model. If this is the case PM me and I can give you part...

My guess would be a faulty relay ( there are two mounted next to the Powerhood pump in the Boot) If the microswitch was faulty then the pump would still stop when you removed your foot from the brake pedal. Either that or a short in the wiring somewhere. Either way it sounds like a job for someone w...

Some interesting suggestions :D Japanese cars have never done much for me :| , I'm definately a German car fan. The 968 is not something I would of thought of. Unfortunately engine size is a factor since our road tax increases with engine size. I would prefer to stick to less than a 2.5l. I have con...

Looks like my Roadster is going to have to go :( its proving to impractical with its lack of back seats and the cost of running a car in Ireland prohibits me from keeping it as a third car. So my question is, what should I get next? It needs to have back seats (though only for small children so it c...

Not having driven in wing1 or wing3 I couldn't say which was the best (diplomatic or what :D ) All I can say is that I had an absolute blast in wing2 I don't think I've ever driven like that before, It was a great opportunity to learn the car and improve my skills. Even Elaine got more relaxed as th...

I bought a Pentax Optio 450 in the summer and I'm very pleased with it. It only comes with a 16MB memory...

I have had my SO3s fitted for around 800 miles now and
whilst they are a massive improvement over the original pilots as far as handling and traction are concerned one thing really bugs me - Tramlining :( in a straight line on a less than perfect road (which means most of them in this country!) the car feels like it has a mind of its own, which is unner...
