WOW! :shock: Why didn't they just stick with a simple cable which worked fine. :wink:
Change for change's sake. Everyone's obsessed with changing everything to electronic/digital

A pressure bleeder is necessary for bleeding dual-circuit brakes - it forces brake fluid into the systems by air pressure. In the old days an assistant used to press the brake pedal to do so, which was a tiresome method for both peole, but with the advent of dual-circuit brakes it became impossible...

Is it right that you only get limited access to the codes through the OBD2 socket compared with the
under bonnet round socket? IE is it better to get a code reader that fits the round socket.

Unless you have a problem you do not need a code reader - it is not a necessary part of maintenance routines. I have never needed one in fifteen years of ownership and 130,000 miles. The clue is in the name bmmini - they do discounted bmw and mini parts, both are made by bmw now. Sports seats are quite a complex shape if you look at the shape of the bolster. Looks like your going to have to make some sort of brackets that will fit to the upper edge of boot lid.Can you connect a bracket to the rack using the side clamp bolts then up to the top edge of boot lid? No, the Sport had extras like heated seats & air con plus M bits & pieces i think & include an M gear knob.

Thanks to Brian H :wink: i now have instrument lights & a buzzer... :D
Definately the rheostat at fault caused by the gear lever knob light, what a crap idea.
Am slowly working my way through the little faults, there will be more i'm sure. :?

As you stated Bob, the rheostat will have burnt out, two solutions really, replace with new or bridge out a couple of connections inside the switch. After Googling i now find that indeed some Z3's do have illuminated
gear lever knobs.So now i am worried as the wires were badly cut

Didn't realise BMW made a specific protector. Does the window get scratched on the inside or outside?
How do you attach your protector?

Only got my car Saturday so not checked it out yet but the window is a mess + hood freying in places.

Just getting used to my 2.2 There seems to be quite a bit of free movement in the accelerator peddle before revs start to increase is this normal? I believe that the later cars used electronic pedal's. Mine's an 02 plate. Is there a way to reduce this free play or is this just the way it is. Cheers ...

Have seen quite a few with badly worn drivers side lumbar supports & wonder
