Didn't realise you could remove the bump thats under the carpet, whats it made of
& is it difficult.Must say the right carpet makes a big difference.
So were all cars not fitted with a CD changer had carpet without the hump &
are all years the same?

Car just passed MOT but told rear tyres need replaceing ASAP.

Radio Script Display Gone Off

Have discovered there is a plug on the "A" post to connect the door wiring loom

ATM iv'e swapped the rear relay with the front relay both light green & all is working.
Am using car very little in Winter so will have to wait a while to see how it goes.

I bought a used key & just swapped over the electronics & then you need to "Initialise" it to your car. Process in the handbook. Don't loose the little electronic chip when you open up the key its seperate from the electronics board, you won't be able to start the car without it. Bob

At the moment the fuse is not blowing & all is working, whether thats because iv'e
swapped the relay or that the wires are hanging loose as door is stipped i don't know.
Will put it all back together & see how it goes.
If it starts blowing again i will try without relay.

If your car has the winter pack on it, it will also have heated mirrors and heated washer jets, can you confirm if you have heated washer jets? According to my wiring digram pin 4 is live, but is green with a black marker. The brown wire is an earth (hence the bulb lights). I think you are confusing yourself with the wiring diagram because 4 is brown at the mirror , not the switch. Is it any wonder i'm confused :? Am trying to check it out...

Easy, but you need a thin spanner ( 36mm i think )& brace ( to stop it turning ) to remove the viscous fan.

Sounds a lot of work for 1 drip a month.
PTFE tape like you said or something like Loctight or Stag sealant.
I would try cleaning the area as best i could & smear sealant around drain plug
before i'de go draining gearbox for a drip a month tbh.

I think its under priced, i paid 5.5 for a 2.2 Sport with 62000mls unless you want a quick sale.
Age may be against it but it looks fab from what i can see. Mine's 2002.

Iv'e managed to get the 2 "O" rings from Latvia on ebay. Couldn't find anywhere else that has them apart from main dealer.
Why do they only supply 1.9 filters with the 2 o rings & not any others?

How do you tell which one needs replaceing. I thought the Transverse Acceleration Sensor was
the cheaper one of the 2 (£75 New) . What fault code comes up with the expensive one which i thought

Before taking the door cards off, inspect the wiring around the plug that connects to the switch, if you look deep in the hole where the switch sits you will notice a metal fastener (screw or bolt I cannot remember) holding the upper part of the handle, when you push the switch in place this causes...

After disconnecting mirror switch on the door my heater fan now works &
fuse OK, does this mean faulty switch or that iv'e just isolated

I don't know about the heated mirrors but on ours (1999 2.0) the plug for the heated washers is under the bonnet, just back from the driver's side indicator. It is a black, push in & click plug which is tied up to the small wiring loom that runs up the edge of the engine bay on the driver's sid...
