forget about the specified volumes, which vary a lot - the diff volume depends on which final drive gear set you have, if it has an LSD, and if it is a clutchpack or Torsen LSD too. Mine took a lot more than the stated volume - 2 litres for each gives you enough. Top up with the car level, until oi...

As it's my birthday today I thought I'd treat the Zed to service items.
7 litres of triple qx 5w40
2 litres of syntrans b75 gearbox oil
2 litres of syntrax 75x140 diff oil
K&n pro oil filter, seal and 'o' rings
Bosch panel air filter
6x Bosch spark plugs.
Happy birthday to me!

Just gone on ebay to order the oils from opie and there's a firm selling the castrol syntrans B 75 in Germany. It's identical and works out £6 cheaper for 2 litres delivered. Call me tight if you like but every penny counts in my book! Anyone interested look up seller:smeagold-2008

Other than the 'M' the Zed was never meant to be put against such cars. It's like comparing a Honda c50 against a Honda fireblade. They were never designed to go head to head. The Zed is a fantastic car in its own right. If you want to race around the track like a loon buy a carrera turbo.

I'm no mechanic so not the best person to answer but I'm pretty certain that the engine will bolt straight in with the exception of engine mountings which are easily changed if required. Gearbox I imagine would need to be from a 2.8 but you should be able to find a complete engine and box easily eno...
