Re: Brake Problem and Jacking Points
Thanks Southernboy. I will be on it today. Just one more thing if anyone knows please. I have looked in the manul but cannot find a central jacking point. Only aware of the two on the sides just before the rear wheels.

Brake Problem
Not used the car for a week. Started her up, fine. Tried to reverse out of the garage and thought the hand brake was still on. Car would not move. Tracked it to the passenger rear wheel and when you try to push by hand the car just rocks and you can hear a, for want of a . better word knocking noise...

Re: Front screen advice please
Never tried it. Soon as I saw what I had done I ripped it out. Re the problem, on closer examination I have scratched the glass so I need to try to 'fill' the gap with a black substance. Next to try is black nail varnish. Hopefully the brush will allow me to fill the gaps.

Re: Front screen advice please
Thanks guys. Tried the black marker and no joy. If you apply to the front of the screen as a test - fine although turns a bit brown. When applied to the scratches from the inside of the car to the inside of the screen -no joy. Just wont seem to bond.

Rear Screen (please dont get turned off)
I have seen many posts re cleaning etc but wonderd if anyone had had the rear screen professionally cleaned and scratches removed. I ask this because many of the posts seem to have a hit or miss result re a complete clean and scratch removal and it might be worth paying someone.
Thanks
Thanks

In neutral sitting at the lights with the engine warm my 3.0i sport ticks over at 750 revs. Listening to the engine this seems rather fast. Does this seem about the mark. Thanks.

Re: Wheel nuts
The wheels are the same with the exception of the studs. The front depth from the edge of the wheel depression to the bolt is approx 15 millimetres at thefront and 25 millimetres at the rear. Whilst my measurements might not be exaxt tyere is definatly a clear difference.

Sorry to answer in this way but if you open up pistonheads z3 for sale the 4th one down is a 3.0i sport which is silver with a red roof. Same as those which I believe are standard.

Re: Wheel nuts 3.0i Sport
Could be but I think the car is totally standard.
Anyone else with a 3.0i Sport that could check please.
In short if you were cleaning the inside of the wheelnut housing and touch the wheelnut there would be a noticable difference in depth to reach the rear wheelnut.
Thanks

On Pistonheads there is the following at £4750. It is the silver one with the red roof. Just listed. In the narrative it mentions an Adjustable Steering Column. I have a 2002 3.0i Sport. I cannot see where I have one. Is it a mistake in the advert? BMW Z SERIES Z3 3.0 SPORT ROADSTER 2002 (2002) For ...

You sou can remove the mirror glass and start from there instead of twisting the mirror to expose the allen keys. I have looked at various knowledge section but cannot see how to do this. Am I missing something here?
