Re: Zedfest w/e in Yorkshire next year??

Can we make it weekend 20th and 21st? Meet Friday 19th. The week after is pingu's lunatic trip which would rule a few of us out for the last weekend.

Re: Lightweight flywheel & shift pins

It's the root of the single ear. Do you have a dual mass, or a solid flywheel? Mine is single mass. Do you mean this part? http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g433/deano1712/Dsc01981_zpsaa948243.jpg I replaced that when I strengthened my boot floor. The pic is blurred but I welded up the obvious st...

I read a lot online this week about stuck bonnets and feared a time consuming job. Happily a liberal squirt with WD40 and a sharp tug got the bonnet open ok. Phew! The cable was knackered and the lower catches very stiff. I'm not good with stuff like lubricating catches and hinges so there's a lesso...

You will fail MOT with no cat so fitting as-is it would have to be swapped out each year to get it through. Decat is noiser and maybe a bit more powerful.

Problem you have is that when you start working on cars you tend to need the tool you dont have to hand. Also you may need to get parts. There is possibility of getting stuck stranded on the 'ramps' while you get what you need. Not great if you are being charged an hourly rate.

Yes I made a tool to remove them - I have it still in the garage somewhere. The standard bushes are rubbish. If you change them fit poly bushes. Its one of the best modifications you can do to a Z3. Makes the rear much more planted and predictable. http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/Z3-suspension-steer...

I have a Walbro 255 just taken out of my Z3M. You can have if for £25 + postage. It fits ok in place of the standard pump and is more powerful. I have swapped it for a bigger pump since my V8 needs for fuel flow than it can provide.
