Modding z4? Are there any aftermarket parts for it apart from LeatherZ armrest? Just curious, I know someone who sold highly moded z3, got a z4, and after few months sold it, because it was too boring for him.

I have 1997 single vanos 2.8 and on average it is never less than 23.5 mpg (or 10l/100km). It's 50% city traffic, 50% outside city, no matter how hard I drive. I tend to think that is not bad for 2.8 displacement.

IMHO don't use LEDs as tail lights. 1) The light will be quite directional, so only small spot on the lights will be bright - doesn't look good, I spent a lot of money on LEDs in tail lights, and now I am not using them because of that. 2) LED's have tendency to be very bad performers if there is so...

Thanks for the link! The most interesting dials designs are here. I like the numbers in italic on dials (like on image) - it gives some more decent and "speedy" look and definitely adds a few horsepowers to the car.

I would suggest the ones with the extra coating so that the bits not in contact with the pads resist corrosion and continue to look nice through the alloy wheel. This was important point for me too, I believe Zimmermanns are not coated, but I heard, that you can just cover the discs with clear coat...

I am looking forward for Zimmermann x-drilled fronts 325x25 and bigger calipers from 330i. Looks like quality discs for reasonable money. Brembos IMHO are overpriced. So I think you can also consider Zimmermann - they are available on ebay.de site.

What are the current prices on used (needs repaint, bases corroded, everything else should be fine) z3m side mirrors? Local breakers yard have a pair for sale, I want to know the prices as sometimes they are trying luck and guessing prices out of space.

I would suggest to put clear protective film over the headlights while they are still in good condition. I bought new headlights and wrapped in protective film before installing and now about 2 years headlights still look great and I haven't even removed film once. Very satisfied, and I am quite sur...
