I suppose you could part ex the trim you need if someone is coming round to collect the roof. That's what I did knock £20 off the roof and kit if you get their foamy bits.

What replaces it is not actually plastic but a grey moulded foam with a plastic part attached to it which covers the 'hole' it locates on the car so is a bit more complicated than it sounds. When I fitted my hardtop kit it was a bugger to remove them without tearing the foam from the plastic

So I've only done a few mods recently :( I decided to fit the cruise control, probably more out of something to do more than anything else. As others have stated it was all very easy, I managed to sort the stalk from the good old US of A £18 delivered a really good service from them and much cheaper...

Thanks guys, I was looking at allsorts of little hatchbacks to replace the Z3 with, VW Up, Hyundais, Suzukis then saw my BMW dealer is doing a special offer on M135is at the mo on the same monthly I'm currently shelling out on the Z4, passing visit and deal was done :) Have mixed feelings on the E8...

Just had a look in the fading light and your diagnosis appears to be spot on It does look like the tighter angle has caused the issue so when you open the folds there is a split in the pipe you said. So that will be my first port of call.

The thought of you fitting the Simota suggests you have a leak in the intake somewhere... sounds like the tubing on the throttle side of the MAF... check the connections...and for any split or broken rubber parts... :wink: Thanks for the reply So I've got the simota connected with a new hose jubile...

When I asked mike fishwick for his help with the same problem he sent me this, "Just disconnect the vacuum pipe frm the valve cylinder, and plug it with a suitable smalll bolt - that's all that is required. The valve opens the shorter (and noisier) path within the silencer about about 3000 rpm ...

It's to change the exhaust note at certain revs, I had mine blanked when I had the eisennann exhaust fitted a couple of weeks ago.
