Sorry, I'm going to get a bit off topic!
I expect it's clearly explained on this site somewhere but forgive me for being a bit thick about this but how do you get pictures into a post like this one? A few good pictures really make a post but I've struggled to do it many times.

I had a similar problem some time ago. Picked up a new (to me!) actuator on ebay very cheaply and dismantled the door. There is a very good post somewhere on this site which is well worth following when stripping out the door. Anyway when I removed the old actuator I checked it out and with a clean ...

Re: S54 Central Locking Fuel Cap?
It's locked by a thin piece of plastic like a knitting needle when the car is locked. When I first had my car, just over 3 years ago, I thought the fuel filler cover was a bit tight and gave it a tug with fingernails and the plastic locking bar broke! It hasn't been locked since.

Likewise. Enjoyed a few miles around South Somerset this afternoon with top down, really nice, even with just 2 litres! I'm always surprised at the number of people with tops up on a day like today but the plastic and nylon mesh wind deflector does make a lot of difference to the comfort level. When...

Hi TJ65,
That's interesting. They are advertised as being for the Z3 but the picture looked wrong so I queried it and was emailed back that they wouldn't fit!
Can you tell me the company you bought from, I'll get some and give it a try.

Re: Z3 front side lights
There appears to be three different sellers on Ebay supplying these lights, all at slightly different prices but having contacted them I believe they are all the same company!!
Waiting for confirmation of size before I order (or not), OEM price seems very high.

Sticky calipers cause wheel shake. They also cause very hot wheels so if one wheel is much hotter than the others you have a sticky caliper for sure. Rebuilding calipers is not difficult and can be very satisfying. All the parts are available for not much money from Big Red and allthough the pistons...

A couple of ideas. Open the boot and look at the loom next to the left hand boot hinge. This carries wires involved with the central locking and wires within the loom can, and do, break after a time due to flexing. If there is any doubt you can slit and fold back the outer insulation and check the w...

Central locking
As using the key locked the doors and the boot the central locking system appears to be working. I have known people to have similar problems which can be traced to the wiring loom to the boot lid. Open the boot and look at the hinge on your left. There is a fairly thick bundle of wires by this hing...

My V reg 2 litre roadster has a noticable smell from the heater. This is only when heat is called for, not with just cold air passing through it.
