You'd like to think so.... £84 +VAT from BMW for just the handle and it's very difficult to get a breaker to split one from a door card- which would cost me £60 +shipping  Which side do you need? Sounds like a great project - I don't think I've ever seen an early car in yellow. Is it an original colour? No, it's not. Was painted yellow from gray by one of previous owners. I don't even know what yellow that is, don't think that's dakar yellow, looks brighter. I needed some winter beater and ...

Re: Potentially moving to US with work - what price for Z3?

It is worth more than 5000 to anyone who knows z3 (m seats, m mirrors, wheels, m console, condition, 2.8), the bad thing is that everyone who knows z3, usually already has one ;)

So best way to get more money - sell additional parts separately and car with stock parts - separately.

Re: M50 manifold

Better spend your money on suspension upgrades first, that's the best for long term ;) After installing m50, you might want to move rev limiter higher (probably vanos engage point too), and using high revs reduces engine life. Good thing is that m52 is very strong engine.

In tuning don't look at hp numbers, look at torque curve. hp is not so important, because it's just torque multiplied by rpm. m50 manifold just shifts the torque from low rpm to high rpm. If you want improve torque in full rpm range I would advise to upgrade headers (get long ones with equal length)...

Regarding mileage - if you think you are running too rich, it might be lambdas but if lambdas are ok, that might be some leak on exhaust side before the lambdas. You get air in, lambda thinks you are running too lean and makes AFR richer.
