There are several inches of sound-deadening foam under the carpet that you are going to need to dry out as well. AFAIAA there are only two memories. One in the cluster and one in the ECU.

EEP is short for EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory) and I am beginning to suspect that this resides in the coding plug.

If you have INPA, then you should be able to reset the airbag light using it. Make sure you connect to the round 20-pin socket under the bonnet and NOT the OBDII connector under the dash (this is only connected to the engine ECU). Use the INPA Airbag module to clear the error memory.
