Hey pingu whenever I look at your car in the future I will be thinking under that beautiful paint job lays a very dark secret.

Re-arranging this is a bit of a problem now...I picked up a speeding ticket Friday so Im not able to exceed the limit until 6 points come off my licence 7th July. Re: POSTPONED Yorks cruise Saturday 7th June
Sorry guys but I have to postpone the cruise due to bad weather forecast. If it was just damp I would go for it but it seems like we may have some very bad downpours and it will be no fun.
Please advise alternative dates that will work for you - how about 2-weeks in on 21st June?
Regards,
Mark

Long time since the last update...the car has been going great and I haven't been doing any work on it. Looks great, good job. Can you route the air inlet to the front, over or under the charger? Incoming air will be warm where you have it so there is less density and massflow.

The piston should push into the caliper body more easily than it can be pulled out. Thats a feature of the seal shape which is designed to pull back the piston a bit when foot comes off the brake pedal.

What type of fibreglass are you planning to use? Properties vary greatly. I have a bonnet hanging in my garage and its very heavy I can hardly lift it so a lightweight replacement would make a big difference to overall weight. With a glass version people need to see quality of manufacture, fit, weig...

The engine ECU is not in there - its in the engine bay. You have the immobiliser in there and i think the airbag module. Maybe another too. If the immobiliser is gone its either ££ to replace or i think there are ways to remove EWS. Internet search pulls lots of info on that. Sent from my C6603 usin...

The Airo 8008M paint that was the stuff you need has been discontinued. I went round the buoy again recently trying to find a match but with no joy. A paint shop mixed me a half litre of 2-pack using a magic colour match gun thingy. Seems perfect.

Changing the bushes is a far bigger job than slotting in some inserts. You make inserts from 40mm drain tube. The other option is to fill the void with epoxy (araldite).

Is it both tyres wearing at the same rate, in the same place? What tyre pressure do you use? Is the car lowered? Its worth having an alignment check done to see if the rear toe in is right. You could always try a course check with a string from the front tyres to the rear, to see if both rear wheels...

Another option is getting some 12mm tubing and bending it into a loop using the old part as the pattern. The BMW part has beaded end fittings but you don't need that - the flexible pipes should mate up ok with jubilee clips.

The pressure in the pipe that routes around infront of the radiator will be very low since its going straight back to the reservoir, which is vented. From memory the pressure side going to the rack is 1200psi.
