Spotted Z8 at Bowker BMW Preston
I called in to Bowker BMW in Preston today to pick up a Hell Red touch up pen for my Z3 and found this lurking near the parts department. It is another of Paul Bowker's collection and was imported from Spain according to one of the sales men I know. Apologies for the parts of my thumb in the picture...

Thanks Ian - I promise to look after it! :D I took both my daughters out for a drive then cleared it's bedroom before putting it away on a light diet of conditioned electrical charge and engaging in a little light bonnet claying and polishing. Here it is having a little sleep in the warm and dry as ...

Metalmickey, modern water based paint suffer less from fading but you do have to keep on top of red cars more than metallics in my experience. Dave.

Re: BBS alloys always diamond cut?
BBS split rim outers are diamond cut and lacquered from the factory but suffer deterioration easily so are often painted as once the lacquer is broken the aluminium beneath corrodes easily and look a mess.

Thanks - have had experience of FK452s before and know they are good. They have been replaced by the FK453 which has done away with the V tread pattern. I'll have a look at those as an option.

Tyre choice for Z3 2.8 - Uniroyal Rainsport 3s
Hi, I'm looking to replace the tyres on my 18 inch AC Schnitzer wheels as the rears are about shot and I can't match the current Dunlop SP Sport 9000s. I am considering Uniroyal Rainsport 3s as I can get the full set of staggered 225/40 R18 and 255/35 R18s from Lovetyres for less than £400 delivered...

Not sure what size 16 inch tyres you have but I have always found Uniroyal Rainsports to be excellent - 225/50 R16s are £77 from Tyreleader.
