Just a quick update, the firm Jontttt recommended sound like an excellent setup and I had a good long chat with one of the owners but they themselves only do the refurbs of existing, if they get any recovers they sub them out to a few local firms, one of which is the the other guy I am going to see ...

Jon that's mark Henderson isn't it I went to see him when you told me before... I was going to get my present seats recovered but decided to wait for the right seats to come along....it's been quite a wait. ..but he seems to know his stuff and he's always busy, always a good sign..

Keep us updated Doris, let us know how much they charge. Mark I don't think it's going to be cheap so I won't have to think about the monetary value of zippy and question if its worth it, problem is I can always spot the most expensive thing in any shop at a distance :shock: but he deserves the bes...

I can personally recommend 'leathercaredirect' in Warrington. They refurbished a pair of beige sports seats that I put in my Z3 1.9. Just bought him new seats Can't decide whether to get them recovered in green with cream stitch detail or cream with green stitch detail...have to get sewing machine out and try out on some fabric first... Also have to work out how I'm going to get them from Exeter... Methinks a trip down the M6/M5 ...

Might be worth checking that whilst Brasso may clean your window you want it to remain supple and I can't help thinking (after cleaning mounds of brassware in a previous life :shock: ) that it might make your window brittle. I have a B.A.S. hood - fitted by Pickerings in Bradford - it is the green mohair and is on Boston Green. I don't very often drive with the roof up and have hardly any pics on my computer with it up but here is one with Seasfurfer.... the colour combo is great IMHO and much better than black or beige...

Was able to get in touch with the truck company boss today. Turns out it was a vegetable based oil from the hydraulic arm from a tipper truck and not from the local takeaway. BONUS!! That'll be why it doesn't smell. Not sure what all the wee specks on the bonnet are. He's happy to cover cleaning co...

It's in the length of the individual outlets...before the gasses get to the point where they can backtrack up towards another cylinder causing a "stifiling" effect. In this way, the gasses are aiding each other to escape down towards the rear and out. When the gas escapes from each cylind...
