Oh yes. I am fully aware of that.
I'm going to plate the rear crossmemeber and run E36 rear diff covers so I can have 2 connection points to the new rear crossmember.

Re: Project Z. BDC Drift car build.
Sadly, it didn't come with a hardtop. That was another £800.... Custom Cages make a Z3 cage. They make a 6 point "bolt in" and a multipoint weld in. I've gone for the multipoint http://www.customcages.co.uk/Images/420/315/Assets/Products/BMW%20Z3/bmwz3.jpg http://www.customcages.co.uk/Roll...

Re: Project Z. BDC Drift car build.
First BDC event is 12/13 April. But I need to have the car finished before then and attend some drift practice days to learn the car. The seating position and so weight distribution is completely different to anything I've drifted before so I will need some seat time if I'm going to hit the ground r...

Project Z. BDC Drift car build.
So seeing as this is the most relevant forum to the Z I will do the build thread here and copy onto others. The history. I've been drifting for 2/3 years now and last year saw me compete in the British Drift Championship at 4 of the 5 rounds. Last years car was an E36 M3 (3.0L) which developed throu...

How much do you want for them realistically?
Mines too quiet. Needs more noise but I'm reluctant to hack up the standard boxes incase I make a really bad (noisy) mistake..

None of it is out of the car yet.
When I start actually stripping it all out then I'll reply here and put everything forsale here first before Ebay.

Yeah. I agree. I wouldn;t want to sell seperate parts of the hoops and trim.

Price for whole interior??
I'm just about to strip the interior out of mine in preparation of having the cage fitted and was wondering how much to put the interior up for.
Also what's usually expected to be included.
Can you guys give me an idea of what I should be selling it for??

Tig welder was one of the best things I ever bought. Once I learned to use it. I repair the wheels on my 530D touring all the time. It's not the right car to be travelling along Devon back roads all the time. Just prototyping some Stainless baskets for a machine we make/sell at work. So handy to be ...

I didn't want to seem like I was spamming the forum. As for specific wheels. Not really. There was everything from original Z 5 spokes to 18x10 rondells to BBS splits. This was the original list. 6 x 18x10 rondells 2 x 17x8.5 rondells 2 x 17x10 borbet As 1 x 17x9 mim 1 x 17x9 e34 option wheel 3 x 17...

I will be doing a build thread somewhere I'm sure. So I can probably copy it here. I competed (SP) in the British Drift Champioship this year in the semi pro class in my E36 M3. Finished 21st overall but managed a couple of good qualifications with a 4th at Teesside and a 3rd at Lydden hill. Sadly t...

All airbags are going. As is all the interior.
The Z is going to be a competition drift car.
But I want to use it on the road to get used to it while I save some pennies for the cage and coilvers etc.

Hi guys.
I'm looking to put a smaller suede steering wheel on my M and wondered if anyone knew whether the steering column was the same fit as an E30 or E36??

Hardtop fitting's pics
Hi guys. New M roadster owner here.
I'm looking for a hardtop for the Z and see that the car needs to have fittings to take a hardtop.
Thing is, how do I know if the car has the fitting kit or not.
Can someone show me some pictures of the fittings in situ please.
Taaa.
