Too right. I had central locking issues and the boot loom looked fine......until I cut away the sleeving! One wire broken and another nearly so. :shock:

Leather fetish?

Hi all, I was chatting to a taxi driver the other day and we were talking about washing cars. He said he only uses a Chamois leather to dry off the bodywork as a microfibre cloth lifts off polish. :shock: Anyone out there have a take on this?

I think they are more likely to fail if you are the type that habitually goes to 4000 rpm, drops the clutch and floors the loud pedal! :shock:

My hard top seems tighter than usual after being down for a while. I just clip it over but just close the latches halfway and leave it for a while to stretch it, then close it fully. No probs.

Wings and Wheels at Old Buckenham this coming Sunday (17th April) is cancelled due to the fact that so much rain is forecast the grass will be waterlogged and some areas flooded! :bawl: Sunday apparently will be fine! :head:

I have a front strut, rear lower strut and body braces. I think there was a definite improvement in ride/handling when all three were on the car.
Ground clearance with standard height rear springs is just ok, any lower would be too risky IMO

I got the Norfolk Grot the just before the track day! I felt so rough, there was no way I could have enjoyed it, let alone been safe!

The yellowstuff pads give off more dust than standard pads.

I fitted Yellowstuff pads all round for a track day (please don't ask how it went!) .They are mighty fine for road use as well!

Agreed, did that on Z3lda. She had Avon ZV5's on the rear + Michelin's on the front = tramlining. :cry: Fitted ZV5's on the front, now no tramlining! :D

Just seen your profile, I was a sparky before I retired. It's all getting too involved now, too much paperwork, :rtm: even for the simple jobs!
I like GT6's, but isn't the rear end a bit tricky if it's near the limit? I understand it's a swing axle set up!

Agree with you on that one!! Me too! Unless it's left outside on the road 24/7 in a dodgy area, which luckily Z3lda isn't. Top down dry driving in Winter is fine if you prepare properly. Well, I got the brakes upgraded and new suspension fitted. Got her all fettled and nice for the Snetterton track day!.............And then went down with some sort of chest and throat infection, so too ill to do the track day! :head: Sod's law or what? And it was a fine day. :x

When I bought Z3lda she had Avon ZV5's on the back and part worn Michelin's on the front and she tramlined quite badly at times. I put new ZV5's on the front and the transformation was dramatic, NO tramlining, like driving a different car!
