You can test by bypassing the switch and cable completely at the connector by the lefthand (UK passenger) seatbelt turret. If that works, then you can start to narrow it down to either the microswitch or the cable. Another possibility is the roof up-down switch itself on the dash. I have heard at l...

Cheers all. Seats are back in and the car is all fine so it definitely wasnt required, tucked it back under the carpet from whence it came..... :)

Sorry, bit of a car novice. When you say its more likely to be the wire, how do you test that out?

Also, anyone know where you can buy the microswitch or the part number?

Hi guys, thanks for quick responses. Yes brake lights all work.

Is there anywhere id find a diagram of where the micro-switch is or photos do you know, or is it obvious when you look?

Apart from the roof failing today I tried my air-con for the first time since having it re-gassed 2 weeks back as a decent substitute for a broken electric roof ........and it doesn't work!!!! GRRRR.... Im going to take it back to the garage in the week but I know they pressure tested the system bef...

Had the car services today and now ive got it back the car is idling lower than before, around 600 and it now definitely sounds like it needs increasing, is there an easy way to do this? i.e a screw head or some such thing that allows me to increase it a bit myself?

Hi All, When i open the boot by pressing the button the boot doesn't lift naturally, its heavy and the the gas struts don't really lift it at all. Once open they hold it up but the boot is heavy. Regarding your seat belt not retracting very well, pull the belt out to its full extent and gently shampoo the webbing and rinse, leave it to dry then see how well it retracts, have solved this problem on a number of cars by doing this, the webbing gets dirty and becomes problematic when rewinding,...

Also need a tonneau cover. Saw a beige one go for £140 on ebay last week and it was a little scratched, was hoping to pick one up cheaper than that, oh well......

Could also do with a bonnet/Boot respray
