Re: Roll hoop mounting bolt sizes and quantity

Inflation again. I have recently bought the same bolts, and yes, they're pricey. Also, there are two different head designs. One is a large diameter flat head, and the other is a hemispherical narrower diameter head. If you look at the OEM parts list they show which goes where.

If you go onto eBay you will find replacement mirrors. Just make sure you get a heated type. These mirrors are curved which gives a wider angle of view to the rear. I must say I'm a little mystified by your "magnified" comment.

Perhaps consider having the larger discs and calipers fitted.....They will be more durable. I find the disc size on the Z to be a tad small, and a larger disc with 4 pot caliper does the trick. Also, I believe there is a fitted system which provides for adjustment to the front and rear discs. This m...

Shouldn't wobble. Check the hinge bolts. Also, if you look carefully around the sides and front there are rubber "bungs" which are adjustable by screwing in and out. These are meant to butt up against the hood so it is stable when lowered and locked by the catches.

I've ordered a new rear window, and before I have it fitted I would like soe advice on having the soft top proofed, and if the product exists that will blacken it evenly. It has slightly "shiny" marks where the steel frame pushes from the inside, and perhaps this can be re-dressed somehow?...

Hi Rob. Use some marine (Clear) silicone. Just squeeze a bit into the knob hole and press it on. Wipe away any excess at the bottom, and let it dry over a few hours. It also allows it to be removed fairly easily by a simple twist and pull if you need to remove it at any time.
