Well I viewed the one closest to me (3.0 black with oxblood seats), seemed fine mechanically but not the car I want.

to be honest it was a throwaway comment!

I drove a brand new MX5 1.8S and decided to spend the extra $10k (or thereabouts) on a used Z3. I know exactly what you mean comparing the two cars back to back!

Nice mod, and an opportunity to sort out the seat rail rocking if needs be at the time.

I do like the steering wheel too 8-) (same as E36 :nerd: ) The one on the facelift cars looks too big IMHO.
