Re: Z3 3.0i Sport steptronic, 43500 miles A1 condition FSH £
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1113652.htm Only for sale due to imminent purchase of SLK55AMG £6750 for immediate sale this weekend WOW and indeed WOW! What brought that on (other than a lottery win)? I wish! No lottery wins but a bit of help from MB Finance and a 'to hell with it' attitude. You ...

You dont buy a 2.2 Z3 to get down Santa Pod whip your willy out and compare pointless 1/4 mile times :D To be fair, you dont buy the 3.0 for that either, you really need the M  With an autobox the 3.0i is not much quicker than a high performance 2.0 TD, and about comparable with the 180hp 120...

Oh no, I paid a little bit more than that for it, I contacted the seller after the auction because it didnt reach reserve and did a deal directly. I dont like to commit to cars unseen. I was after the dark grey with a black interior but it really is mint and given that it is a 8 year old car I am su...

Had some stupid woman in an S reg Rover 400 today beeping behind me and gesture for me to speed up because I dared slow to 1st gear for the speed humps through the village. I waved (as you would gesture to say bye to someone) and then she starts giving V's and beeping even more. Lo and behold at the...

nb. so far as I'm aware they will need a court order to recover the car and if its used for business it cannot be seized (not just driving to work but actually to do your job eg plumbers van, so Z may be hard to go down this route). If this is the case, get your insurance changed to include ...

Why only a 2.0? Not that there is anything wrong with them, but now that the cars are 8-10 years old there isn't much in it between a 1.9 and a 3.0 in terms of purchase price... MPG is not dissimilar between the 6 cylinder motors, although you might get a few more MPG out of the 1.9 4 cylinder. My n...

FS Hard top fitting kit (rear brackets) for 2001 Z3
My Z3 had a hard top which I declined to purchase. The fitting kit has been left on the car and is no use to me. It is NOT a genuine BMW bracket but a fabricated metal one. That said, it does the job very well (I test drove the car with the hard top fitted. Reasonable offers please, or a straight sw...

I have seen that car locally. Very nice indeed. You could always get your chrome gills painted to match. Try Storey Refinishing, Redcar 01642-477323. He is very good. Also drives a nice Z3M  Thanks for the comment on the car, I am travelling 155 miles today to view and purchase assuming its a...

Free chrome gills - for a swap with Sienna Red ones!
Just about to pick up a Siena Red Z, it has the chrome gills. I will be looking to change these for Sienna coloured gills if anyone is interested in a swap? Yes Sienna is rare and it's a long shot but I thought it worth a post before I try and source some Sienna gills. If anyone with a Sienna wonder...

WTB: Z4M...please post up links/contact me via PM
Hello everyone, I am about to buy my third Z, hopefully! Alas it is not to add to two Z's I already have but I had a Z3 3.0i in 2003, and a Z4 3.0iSMG in 2007. After just under a year with a S2000 as a second car I have decided to upgrade. I sold my S2000 at the weekend and have since been consideri...

You never know! Well, I thought I had the bargain of the year, an 08 plate with half decent spec for only £22000  (assumed after negotiation, it's up for £22,850) There had to be a catch and there indeed was...it had missed the 1200 mile service by 1800 miles :head: Gutted. Complete waste of ...

Had a Z4 3.0i now thinking of a Z4M
There are some great deals about at the moment so I am seriously considering a Z4M Is there anything in particular to watch out for in terms of problems specific to the Z4M R, over and above the general stuff concerning the regular models? I know to look out for the 1200mile service but that's about...

I drove the 2.5 and 3.0 back to back in the USA, there wasnt much in it. IIRC it is the 192hp 2.5 in the USDM car, as opposed to the 170hp version. Similarly I wouldnt think there is much in it between the 2.8 and 3.0 Good luck in your search and there is (or was about a month ago) a lovely mint exa...

Some very good advice in this thread. 1. Only drive as fast as you can see to stop! Ok, sometimes this is not possible (blind 90 degree harpins) but most of the time it is possible to do this. 2. If you are flashed by a car on the motorway, pull over and let it past, especially if it is something re...

Nice car. I had a 182 Trophy for a month or so over the winter, from a kind friend who emigrated and let me use the car for a while, which then I sold on his behalf for him. I sold a Z4 3.0 SMG a bit ahead of my company car arriving. Don't discount the SMG, by the way! I am looking to buy a Z3 mysel...
