Prepare to be disappointed. Fully agree with Tim's assessment re. modern materials and building techniques but cars just aren't made the way they were or are made to last. It's not just BMW or Mercedes either, Audi quality has taken a nose dive too.

Peugeot originals nut covers will fit as they use 17mm wheel bolts. They also have on that fits their locking bolt, which may/may not fit a BMW one . I don't know how much they cost but a phone call would remedy that.

Just because a car has 12mths m.o.t. isn't any guarantee that it is roadworthy. If you are unsure about any car you can get it inspected. The seller has advertised the car with not a full m.o.t. so it's unfair to demand that it has one. If you want a car with a full test don't go looking at ones tha...

I would say that the biggest thing in favour of a spitfire is the fact that you can separate body from chassis (maybe depending on the age of the car?) I did when I had mine. This makes it a 2 part restoration at least. There not many cars these days where you can do this.

Most oils come from a refinery which produces oils for more than 1 company. Often what sets them apart is the additives which different companies add to the basic oil to produce their own "brand". Some oils are long life some are low ash (diesels) the main thing is regular oil changes.
