Re: Z3M S50 died this morning
The problem with buying any secondhand performance car regardless of make is unless you know its history you have no idea how its been treated, most likely thrashed to an inch of its life, never warmed up beforehand, skipped servicing etc. You can't really blame BMW to be honest. If you want trouble...

I'm guessing its your only car otherwise I would keep it, for the enjoyment they give over what you would get cash wise its not worth selling. You could keep it as a family heirloom for when the new arrival is grown up

Hi all, Sad day today to let the Zed go so was out early for a last drive before collecting the new motor at 10am, just a shame it rained so was unable to get the roof down :( Will miss the Z4 a motor with lots of plusses and the odd minuses. And so onto the M135i and a completely different car, loo...

I thought the conclusion was throw your flat in the boot and tie the bootlid down. No a full size whhel won't fit but enough of it will to get it to a repairer.

This was happening to mine and was actually on the outside of the lens so might be worth checking. I polished the lenses up with Xerepol plastic polish and they came up new.

You roof already has a lining as it's a facelift. They only change the outer mohair layer but keep the existing lining, are you confusing this with a pre-facelift which has no lining, that they would add one too? or are you just confusing me? :D I had my roof changed but they kept the existing lini...

I am thinking of replacing my roof as it's wearing it parts so will keep an eye on this thread. Does the new hood have a roof lining or is it just single skin? Re: After a puncture.
I keep my spacesaver in the boot rather than it slung under the Zed and it fits in comfortably so I reckon an 18" wheel and tyre will fit in reasonably enough that you can tie the boot lid down enough for it to be safe for a shortish distance. Has anyone actually tried this? I would agree with ...

They look fabulous and wouldn't mind a set of these on mine, definitely a classic perfect match for the Z3. Depending on the price I wouldn't hesitate. The largest wheels BMW made for the Z3 were 17s so don't look too out of place. The problem I found with ACS alloys if going for the 18s is the fron...

The facelift roof lining can be retrofitted to cars that don't have it, so it is not part of the roof. It is likely to be a fiddly job to remove and reinstall, so you want to make sure that your price includes doing this. Cheers R. Thanks Robert, I've e-mailed the company to ask if they're hoods in...

Weren't the post facelift mirror bases made of plastic rather than cast alloy? I'm pretty sure mine are plastic as they're good as new. When I first had the Zed they were very stiff to fold but some WD40 soon freed them up.

Nothing wrong with space savers, it will guarantee you will get home whereas using foam more than likely you won't. I bought a new spacesaver off e-bay and it sits in the boot rather than under the car. I never carry that much in the boot so any flat will go in the boot and tie the boot lid down.......
