I`ve used black circles, had a choice of three places to fit them locally. I was pleased with price and service. On your tyre choice there are a few of us on here that have gone for Falken 912s and have been very happy with them. They just about got rid of my tramlining and they are about the same p...

wipers
I`ve just noticed that when my wipers are on normal speed they switch to intermittent when I stop, still with the engine running. When I set off again they resume normal operation. Is this normal or have I got some weird electrical problem? This doesn`t happen when they are on fast speed. Car is 199...

Front shocks and springs
I need to replace front shocks and springs. Been googling but 99% of results come up with lowering kits. Just want standard ones. Anyone point me towards reasonably priced ones or is it down to the dealers for a quote? Anything else I should replace (top mount bush?) while they`re off and will it wa...

door card clips
Hi, door cards are coming off soon to give window mechanism a good clean and lube. It looks like at least one of the fastener/clips is missing from the bottom of the card before I start. Had a look on real oem but can`t find them. Does anyone know the part number and approx cost of these. Rather hav...

Just seen this on ebay. Might be of interest to a few, not used them so this is not a recommendation but seems a good price. I`m thinking of a new hood otherwise I would try this firm. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BMW-E36-Z3-CONVERTIBLE-SOFT-TOP-REAR-SCREEN-WINDOW-/270689973277?_trksid=e17000.m7&_trkpa...

Great replies guys. I like the idea of using the cigarette lighter socket but I too need it for the sat nav. I`m not good with electrics, could anyone advise me if a sat nav could be powered by a small plug and socket? I`m thinking of the blank space between the roof opening button and the OBC reado...

Welcome to the forums. I have the same problem. No one on here had come across this before so I did some research. Unfortunately there is no easy fix. I tried autoglass and other similar firms who weren't interested. The only offer of a repair was from main BMW people who said they could rebond it b...

No more tramlineing!!!!!!!!!!
Just back from tyre fitters. New Falken 912s fitted on the front and she drives like a dream now, no tramlineing at all. Did the usual over the last 6 months, bushes renewed, tracking checked and new callipers fitted as they were sticking. No improvement at all from all that but it all needed doing ...

Window struggling to go down
I`ve been waiting for some decent weather to take the door card off and lubricate the winder mechanism. However it got so bad I tried the following which might interest to those who are wary of taking the door card off especially if you have side airbags. I wound the window down as far as it goes, f...

Camber correction bolts
Hi, it`s nearly time to put two new tyres on the front. Last time I had the tracking done the camber was -3 degrees both sides. I`m thinking of having some camber correction bolts fitted but wondered if they will give enough adjustment to cure this?

Hi Icecube. Just read your post and wondered if you had sorted your problem as I have the same symptoms. Just hope it isn`t as expensive as it sounds. It seems to happen once every revolution of the wheel and I`m leaning towards it being a brake issue but I had new discs, pads and cylinders a few mo...
