Re: Can anyone identify this part?
Be carefull with what you have been advised as the rubber bushes are adjustable to take up any shake of the bonnet. We love our Z mzchines but they are not built to Rolls Royce standards and they are there for a reason

Re: Can anyone identify this part?
It's one of 4 bonnet supports that hold each corner of the bonnet in place. It looks as though the stud has snapped off the bonnet.I removed one of my supports ( N/S/Rear) as it was clattering when riding a rough road. It only took me 2 months to finally track down where this noise was coming from.Ev...

Re: radio question
I bought a new cd radio and fitted it to my 99 Z3 2.0 but wasn't happy with the look so reverted to the original tape /radio unit, bought an E 30 boot player via internet and a new cradle from BMW.I think the cradle was about £35. I took out the back boot liner and fitted the unit to check it fitted ...

Re: Z3M for sale - spring bargain
Having owned both I would ask you to think seriously before you decide. The TVR spares situation can't be that clever since they went bust.Everything kept falling off mine!! and the weather proofing was dire.Left it out one night by mistake and had to bail the cabin out the following day.Glorious noi...

Re: Z3 Clatter from the Front N/Side
She sat on the front slam panel and shouted directions! She had to wear the obligatory Goggles and white flying scarf as per Russ Abbott sketch!!!! They do have other uses apart from cooking etc. Only kidding as it's very quiet where we live and it was only a matter of a few yards. Good fun trying t...

Z3 Clatter from the Front N/Side
Found it!!!! I reported a while ago about a glass on metal type of annoying ''Rattle '' from the N/Side heard inside the car when driving. After having dismantled most of the dash and Air Bag assembly in an effort to locate it, it took my wife to suggest driving the car with the bonnet up and of cou...

Re: clattering inside the car on a rough road.
Tried the battery clamp, checked the windows, seats as you all suggested but no different even with hood down and windows down.It sounds as though it is coming from the passenger side towards the front.Wondered if the dash brace behind the Passenger air bag panel was loose.May take out the lid as per...

clattering inside the car on a rough road.
I am experiencing a '' clattering'' sound when driving over a rough road surface and it is not from the suspension..At first I thought it might be the hood or frame but it is still there when the hood is down but not as loud as the amplification is reduced with the hood down.I thought it may be the ...

Leaking washer jets.
Can anyone help in giving advice on how to stop water leaking from the washer jets after use on my 99 Z3 2 litre? I assume it may be a non return valve some, if so is there one or two and where is it situated?

Alloy wheels
I have a set of BMW alloys that are 17 x 8J ET20 and wondered about fitting them to my 99 Z3 roadster, replacing the 5 spoke 16'' already on the car. Will they fit the car and what tyre size would you advise?
Many thanks

Heated seats
Is it possible to retro fit seat heaters to a 99 model 2.0 Z3?
Obviously if this is possible it will just be a matter of sourcing the elements and switches from a scrappie?
Great forum!!
