If you want an 'M' again, then that sounds as good a one as you are going to get. If you decide that it is a disappointment, then I doubt you will have much problem selling it!

That would have been me. First outing this year and afraid I had not cleaned her (shocked how much dust had accumulated on her in the garage in 4 months). The first decent weekend we get, she will get a full wash, clay and wax. I didn't notice another z there I am afraid and spent so long looking at...

Re: What's a Z3M worth?
I think people are looking at coupe prices and assuming their roadster is worth the same. Anyone can ask what ever price they like, but whether someone is silly enough to pay that is another matter. When I bought Shantybeater's, I expected it to lose about £1k in value a year, plus another £1k for m...

Re: Z3M Coilover help
H and R Coilovers fitted to mine. Afraid that I can't comment on how they feel compared to standard, or other alternatives, since they were fitted by the previous owner, but he did quite a bit of research before he chose them (read Shantybeater's S54 thread). They certainly allow a decent amount of ...

I have an ELM 327 (or more likely a cheap Chinese copy) and use it with Dashcommand on the iPhone. As has been said it will only read and reset engine codes and will not reset airbag light etc. The engine error codes don't necessarily tell you what the exact problem is, but it is useful to clear cod...

The s54 M Coupe values have gone silly in the last 12 months and each low miler that comes on to the market seems to be advertised a few thousand more than the last one.

H & R Coilovers on mine and I am quite happy with it. Can't take any of the credit for it, since it was all sorted out by the previous owner. If you look up page 3 of ' Shantybeater's s54' you will see what he did.

Re: Intermittent EML...any ideas
+1 for Dashcommand and the ELM327. With an intermittent fault you can read the code, clear all error codes, and reset the light each time it comes on. You can then see if it is the same error code occurring each time without having to spend £60 to get it read.

I also have an elm 327 wireless interface (or at least a Chinese copy any way!) and the Dashcommand app on my iphone. It was dead easy to read an engine error code (and then clear the codes), but I am not sure whether it will reset abs lights or air bag lights.

Pre Cat O2 Sensors
I have error code P0154, which from internet searches is the pre cat 02 sensor. I will book it in for repair, but at 59,000 miles is it as well just to get the 2 sensors replaced rather than wasting time looking for dodgy connections etc first?
