Re: LSD - @Ivor

Interesting - thanks. Yes, now you mention it, the green car used to whip around to its limiter with an that the black one doesn't possess. Wasn't thinking of adding an LSD (although now you mention it...) but there's a debate raging over the fact that the M135i (one of which I now own) doesn't have...

Just out of curiosity Ivor, does the green car still have the LSD fitted?

If so, do you notice any benefits in the way it drives compared to the red one (which I assume doesn't have one)?

Re: Tyreweld v Mobility kit

I believe runflats are now optional on normal BMWs and the M cars have never had them fitted. Until recently I had a 2007 E60 M5, which didn't have runflats and rode very acceptably, particularly in view of the sort of car it was, thanks to adaptive suspension. I'm sure Felix can confirm as I think ...

Absent any unexpected body parts failures (touch wood), I have found the Z1 to be an inexpensive car to run. - The tax is standard pre-2001; - The fuel consumption is normal (unremarkable); - I service mine annually regardless of mileage but that's out of choice and I think the last oil & filter...

Quite so. I saw that one in the back of Classic & Sports Car. And most you see advertised these days here in the UK start north of £20k unless they are tatty.

Hence why the Classic Heroes one looked decently priced at first glance.
