I think the Route Napoleon goes from somewhere around Cannes to Grenoble, basically around the base of the Alps. It's the route the little Frenchman took when returning from exile in Elba in 1815 when he was on his way to overthrow the Louis the 17th or 18th - I'm not really that au fait with French...

It's a bit out of the way, but, if you go due south from Paris, through Clermont Ferrand, you can cross the Millau Bridge (as often see on Top Gear). If memory serves me correctly, it's the A75. Then you can drive up the coast to Nice through Montpellier and Marseilles.

There's a silver Z8 in Lisburn as well. Normally parked in the car park as you come in from the Union Bridge.

The Alpina is a more exclusive car for a start. It came in 3 versions, depending on age - 2.8 (240bhp - 136 made), 3.0(250bhp - 749 made) and 3.2(265bhp - 342 made). They would have been cheaper than the M3 new. They also came in Touring and 4 door variants (I know the M3 came as a saloon later on)....

The Audi and the 6 would be my contenders out of what you have posted there. I'd not bother with the 630 though and go straight to the 645 though. The Monaro is a reaonable car, but, they are horrible inside, remind me of a Cavalier inside. I toyed with getting one, but, that put me off. Maserati Qu...

The only thing I didn't like about the 1 was the Continental RFT's, early on, I swapped them for 18" Pirelli PZeros and was much happier with it. Right at the end, I refitted Michelin RFTs and was stunned at how much better they were. Had I have known that at the start, I would have never went ...

Alpina Classic wheels

Has anyone got these fitted to their Z4?
I've seen the Dynamic ones fitted to a few cars, but, I'm a bigger fan of the Classic style (partly as I have variants of them fitted to the rest of my BMW collection!)
Wouldn't mind seeing them fitted to a real car though before I buy them...

I was going to go for black initially, but, I reckoned that a bright color would show off the curves better, it did require quite a leap of faith in ordering it unseen, but, I was very satisfied when I saw it in the flesh. Explaining the color to people without them seeing it, you can always see the...

I got it on mine, and I think it's a good job. The car is without a doubt easier to keep clean and looks better with it.
It's definitely something you can get them to throw in for free if you're not getting the discount you wanted. I think they normally charge £250 for it on the Z4.

I'm sure this will raise a bit of controversy, but, to be honest, in every day driving, there's not a huge amount to separate the 3.0 and the M in my opinion. I tried both before ordering, and the difference certainly isn't £10k's worth (and then the extra running costs). It's a nice driving car, an...

Guess I should say Hi

Another new member, I've had a fair few BMW's in the past - 5's, 6's, 7's, an 8 and 1, but, I bought a Z4 coupe at the end of last year. I also have an E28 M5 (which has been in the garage over the winter), and a 635CSi which is just ending it's restoration to keep it company. I also have a 1, which...

The ISOFix / airbag disable via key option is £60 when ordering the car when new. Disabling the airbag is legal, but, you ...
