Absolutely adore mine. The seats fit me to perfection and it is a joy to drive but certainly has its moments

. I really can't think of what I could replace it with and enjoy more.

My M clutch is heavy too and it makes my calf ache when I have to wait in heavy traffic. The clutch on my 2.2 is much lighter in comparison. Both cars are 2002 models and as far as I am aware, have not had the clutches replaced.

Hi Meldrew,

Have you tried leaning/pushing hard against the door whilst trying to open it?
The door on my 2.2 sometimes sticks, particularly if the weather has been warm.

I can definitely vouch for the mesh wind deflector.
My hair is mental: With the deflector up I can see where I am going.
With it down I can't see where I am going, get whipped in the face and end up with 'dreads' Bob Marley would have been proud of!

Sounds normal on start up to me too. The engine on the S54 is lumpy to start with but soon settles. As Alfie and a few others on here have advised make sure you get the oil temp gauge up to 50 and give it a bit of a run before giving it the full beans.
