Some WD40 or similar into the cable sleeves will help... those heater cables are forced into some fairly tight curves when the controls are fitted into the console. You might want to check the open / shut valve on the heater matrix for correct / smooth operation. The valve itself may be "foule...

Water in boot
That well either side is used to capture water though isn't it? because it is a drain, little hole towards the front of the well. which way is it meant to enter the well then?

strangely enough, no, there is no water on seats or in via there, just seems odd. Could i alter anything for a tighter fit? if do, where?

Ok should i be seeing this much light in the a pillar section where the roof meets the sealing rubber?? and any ideas to remedy?

My rear parcel shelf is wet and noted that I saw water dripping from the window zip yesterday, so thats one source of my leak. As title states, my little Z, has suffered this common fault on the drivers side door card, top section where mirror switches are located.
What is the official fix? mine currently crudely held in place with a cable tie.

Yep on the UK M44 1.9 engine there is only one, pre-cat O2 sensor - towards the front, under the cover, just in front the gearbox - driver's side. I have read up few things. And one member mentioned the older 1.9 twin cam which I think I have ( 97 P reg car ) has only 1 lambda sensor, upstream of cat, and only later cars which were more environmentally friendly etc had the two 02 sensors, this correct?

Del, many thanks, I've just ordered a new thermostat, so fingers crossed it is this!
