Thanks for the diagram Sledgehammer, anybody got any idea where this valve is located under the bonnet (or maybe it's on the heater matrix behind the dash somewhere?)

Does anyone find the the resolution on their heater is poor? My heater is really hot when fully clockwise but I only have to turn it about 30' anticlockwise (still mostly in the red area) and it cools off quite dramatically and is only just tepid. The part of the dial anticlockwise from 2 'o clock i...

On my 3.0 (according to the handbook) DSC is on by default on starting the engine. One press of the DSC button illuminates the button and the DSC indicator on the instrument panel which indicates DSC is off. A second press turns DSC back on and the associated lights off. Yeh, my handbook says the s...

DSC - how many button presses?

I can turn my DSC off on my S54 ///M with one press, but then it takes a further 2 presses to get it back on. I thought I read somewhere that the DSC has two stages of 'off', i.e. completely off and minimal intervention.

Can anyone confirm??

Thanks for the link - just what I was looking for. The store locator says the Halfords I went to should have both that and the sport in, but I'm sure they didn't as I looked around all the oil section. I see the sport has essentially replaced the RS 10 60, and it sounds like it might be a slightly h...

What's happened to Castrol RS 10W 60 ??

LOL - After just spent half my life reading through all the oil threads on the forum I decided that Castrol RS 10W 60 was the right stuff to bung in my S54 ///M, but upon a visit to my local Halfrauds it seems this oil is no longer available and has been replaced by Castrol Edge. Changing the aircon belt?

Been having a nosey around the engine bay of my S54 ///M and noticed that the aircon belt has some cracking on the inside and probably could do with replacing.

Anybody got or know of a 'how to' for this?

I think with any used car there are always one or two things that you have to sort out before it's perfect - to be expected and not spoiling the car at all which is absolutely fantastic. So far I have answers as follows: 1) Fuel gauge seems to be possessed! When I picked it up it was showing half a ...

Didn't say accelerating hard, just light throttle action. Obviously if you wanted to take off then you would change down but cruising through a 30mph limit in 5th is only about 1000rpm.
