Anyone for a last autumn ride in Denmark?

Post by mushama »

Hi,

I'm living in Denmark close to Aarhus. Anyone for a drive before putting the Zetties to sleep for the next 4-5 months?
Best regards

Not this year but next year for sure... :)

I loved Aarhus last time I was there (a few years back mind you)

Hi Gary,

I didn't expect any response all the way from the UK :-) I'm looking forward to seeing you next year.

Damn! I'd love to, but it's too far for me too. :(

What are the roads like out there?

The roads are really good. We have good highways across the whole country and no toll charge :-D

But more interesting are the 70.000KM tiny roads between all the small towns - they are beautiful and with a lot of narrow turns.

Cheers,
Best regards

Hi Morten,

I have been working in on the outskirts of København quite a bit over the last couple of years, and have often wished I had my zed with me - last summer was wonderful weather - but it would be a quite an effort to get it over there whilst I'm working. I will have to make the effort some time as you do indeed have some nice roads and I would love to see some more of your country.

This is something I would definitely consider - I like Denmark very much, but have never been there in the Zed.

If you can suggest some dates, I will pencil them in. 8-) (For 2010, I mean).

My son-in-law's two nephews were both born in Odense. My son travels to Aarhus on business. I have been to most parts of Denmark, and I need to go back to Faborg, in Fyn, to carry on some family history research - we think my mother's family may have originated from there.

I'm really amazed by you guys :-)

I didn't know that so many could be interested in visiting Denmark.

Maybe I should try to arrange a weekend with the Z's in May (it's usually good weather in May). A lot of windy roads is just waiting for being used...

Would that be of any interest?

Cheers,

Lots of Zeds in DK - but no club?!

Post by Ferdinand »

It still amazes me why there is no club in Denmark. There are lots of Zeds, but no one seems to taken interest in making a club.... Perhaps there's something to work on Morten!!

Unfortunately, I am already committed to other things from Tues 11th to Sun 16th May and from Fri 21st to Fri 28th May, but at the moment I am free during the first week in May and most of June.

Yes, early May works better for me, too.

Yes--I am interested in a tour to Denmark--There IS a BMW Club Denmark,
and my fellow European rep was Mogens Christiansen(maybe my spelling of his name is Not the biz) but I am sure they would be great hosts as is the original poster,s idea,s.

Police ARE very strict on DD & Speeding.

Hi everyone,

Thanks once again for all those positive reactions. I'll consider making an official invite, maybe through BMW Club DK, in the spring of 2010.

Today is a wonderful autumn day with no skyes and falling leaves... Gotta take a spin for the next 1-2 hours - SEE YA!!!

Cheers,
Best regards

Hi Morten

I´m a Z3 owner in Göteborg area. Might be very interrested in being on your invitation list when it goes out. For a swede from the swedish west-coast its quite natural to tour Jylland from time to time an I really like your good roads.

Why not make it international and post the invitation on the german forum as well?

Let the snow go away and let the spring in!

Hi Hans,

Very nice to hear from the brotherland ;-)

I will certainly remember you on my invitation list. Maybe you're right - why not invite people from Germany? Good idea :-D

After finding a suitable weekend, I'll post an invitation here and on the German site as well.

Thank you for the good idea!

Btw; if I have the time me and my girlfriend might spend 3-4 days in September driving in Sweden with the cloth down. We'll be going from Göteborg and up north to Svinsund and back I think.
Best regards

Denmark visit---2010 or 2011?

Post by ZZZEMMCO »

Hi Morten-- the BIG problem for many drivers is the time given in advance of an event. Its now 5 months since the idea of a possible visit to Denmark--like all drivers we have to plan to be away from our jobs and arrange Ferries/Tunnel-Hotels +++.

Any infomation Please?.

Hi ZZZEMMCO ,

I never had any idea of this could be such an event. I have tried this before locally in Denmark, and not meny people shows up (not a Z3 meeting though).

I think it is wonderful if any from other countries will visit Denmark.

Next step is to finde a suitable weekend very soon and make some kind of agenda.

Thank you very much for "reminding" me ;-)

... talk to you all very soon ...
Best regards
Morten
