We'll probably be calling in at Ferrybridge just to see if Costa is still there - Mrs ZC finally got her Gaggia so now I don't have to drive 50+ miles to get my coffeeJonttt wrote:There are usually a couple of meeting points, Ferrybridge and further up the A1

It is nice that the organiser of the Harewood event noticed the efforts made at Newby Hall in May
This is a quote from the current Cars in the Park newsletter:
"Newby Hall
Just a quick word on our meeting at Newby Hall. The turn out at Newby Hall was up by 66 cars on last year to 332. As always there were lots of interesting cars. I was impressed with the BMW roaster parking fan! You have too much time on your hands."
How will we make our Mark at Harewood this year?
Answers on a postcard.

Me and my good lady have decided to attend and although its only a couple of hours away from home we are going to make a weekend of it and spend Saturday night in a hotel.
So my question is can anyone recommend a good hotel about 30 mins max drive from Harewood. We would like a boutiquey type place and not a corporate box. Any help appreciated.

is a great place - choose from log cabins or a very nice hotel. Food is amazing too.
Place to stay
crown hotel at boroughbridge is a great place to eat/stay and a great drive to harewood too
Also we have stayed at the Kestrel which is Harrogate/knaresborough way which is cheaper and AMAZING grub!
Failing that you can stay at mine, i'm only a few mile away, but I didnt marry the mrs for her cooking so the food is rubbish

You do.. he stood in for you when you were off on your jollies, I think he's muscling in on your pitch
So what's the parking formation for Harewood then....are you going ? and do you want me to bring my knitting needles again

We have other arrangements for the weekend so will not be attending.snoops wrote:So what's the parking formation for Harewood then....are you going ? and do you want me to bring my knitting needles again
I believe Daz and Barbie have a few ideas (or desires)
However I don't think guillotines are involved so the knitting needles should be unnecessary...
Just thought I'd do a check through the thread to see who is going:

Jollyassassin - have you sorted time off?
No-one has suggested a meeting time yet, so how about
9.15am at Wetherby Services?
This gives time for a Costa and a natter before setting off to Harewood at about 10.00

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
Cheers Titan,
We will do register and book as advised.
