A few of us were discussing the idea of a weekend away, probably across to Devon and Cornwall, yesterday.
Can interested parties add to the thread with availability, dates etc and possible destinations.

Thanks also for the offer and of course being in the area yourself, what better person to act as a guide? We don't all have to set off from Wessex. Others could meet on the way or at the destination then have the following day out for a drive, meal in the evening and then off home on the Sunday. This is just a germ of an idea based on the format that we had in Germany last year and again this.

Re dates, should avoid school holidays at all costs: roads full of caravans etc and hotels etc expensive.
Re routes, try maybe coast of Somerset (rather good west of Minehead) and Quantocks and Brandon hills (if Devon and Cornwall are too far for some)?
Meet at the airfield to discuss properly perhaps...
