Zmasss Party 4th December 2010

Post by trackdaywidow »

Time and "employment" have got the better of me this year and I am rather late in posting up details of a Zmas Party 2010.
This will be the fifth year that I have organised an evening Christmas function and for those that did not experience the "Cresta Run" to the venue last year, I thought that I would give you all the opportunity again, weather dependant (Who would have expected that level of snow in December !!)
I have booked the DeVere Hotel, Denham Grove, Uxbridge UB9 5DU for Saturday 4th December 2010. We will have exclusive private use of The Chalfont Suite for a three course (pre-selected) meal, including a bucks fizz reception at a cost of £45 per head. The food choice, as always, is superb and with our own private room I'm sure that Santa will not feel shy and would like to make an appearance. Unfortunately the venue are looking to secure a booking fo 60 persons before including a DJ, but I am still negotiating this with them.

The room rate this year to stay on the Saturday evening is £59 per room, breakfast on the Sunday is included.

If you would like to attend what has traditionally become a fantastic evening to end a great year of zedding please post here and I will PM details of how to secure your place.

A non refundable deposit of £10 per head will be required to secure your booking, with final payment to me, for forwarding to venue, by end of October. Hotel to be booked direct, details to be sent to you by PM on securing your place.

Dress code at the Zmassss event is usually dinner/lounge suit and cocktail/evening dress. If anyone is interested in wearing red, particularly if they have their own set of white whiskers and are of an "outgoing" nature please PM me (please note: this is not necessarily for my own pleasure )

Looking forward to seeing old and new friends.

UPDATE: Zmasss Party 4th December 2010

Post by trackdaywidow »

Please note that I have had to make some changes to the planned Zmas party this year. The venue and date stay the same.
DeVere Hotel, Denham Grove, Uxbridge UB9 5DU
Saturday 4th December 2010.

The hotel require a minimum of 40 people for private dining and as I only have 27 confirmed, with a cut off of end October they have offered me an alternative. After canvassing those that have "enrolled" we will now hold our party in the main dining room.

The party includes a Buck's Fizz reception followed by a three course buffet dinner and half a bottle of house wine per person. Cost per head £31.50. There is a disco for those that wish to swing their pants :bounce

The room rate this year to stay on the Saturday evening is £59 per room, breakfast on the Sunday is included.

The venue are sending the contract to me tomorrow, when signed I will let you know when I will need payment by and send you details of how to reserve your room.

Looking forward to seeing old and new friends.

In previous years a wooden spoon, themed around the person and their car, has been presented to the last person to pay for this event.

The honour of the spoon is now between three of you. Who is it going to be??? Choices are Z3M, Z3M Hamann and 320D Touring.

For my own amusement I am hoping it will be the owner of the Z3M !!!

a BIG thank you to you all for paying up so promptly this year, deposit has now been sent.
Final balance is due beginning of November, so if you still have an amount to pay I would appreciate if you could send by end of the month.

I have confirmed with the hotel and they have 7 rooms confirmed (me/JR/Gazza/Si/Phil/Roaders/Gaz). Rooms will be held under Zed Cars Group only until the end of October. If you have booked a room and are not on the list above please either double check with the hotel or let me know.

Hi guys. This week I will be preparing to decorate the wooden spoon.

o Will I be looking for new props to hang from it this year, or has my job been made easier and it will be a repeat of last years?

o Will I be presenting it to someone different or will a certain gentleman become the proud owner of a matching pair?

Don't forget when you go shopping to pop a little something into your shopping basket for your "Secret Santa" gift.

Looking forward to seeing you all.

Just organising my Secret Santa gifts ..... what fun !!!
Let the festivities begin
Not too many sleeps to go. Good job we've got PVR aka "The Sun Guru" with us.... mind you, he didn't do very well last year, we had heavy snow
Marise, can you please have your eyes tested before the party so that if it does snow, and we have a repeat of last years streaker, you can at least recognise his face (or is it that you know full well who is was and are too embarrassed to admit it (ie, the kids would never forgive you for naming and shaming their father)
Santa, looking forward to a visit again this year
Spoon is ready
