Price for 2 adults on Saturday + V/Pass = £59.95 (if member of BMW GB Car Club)

I was thinking about going on the Saturday as above. I don't know if I'm being a bit dumb :dunce: can anyone explain what the V/pass is :?:

If ticket doesn't arrive - TOUGH.

I've paid the extra £4 for some sort of guarantee.

As above V/Pass is vehicle pass for your BMW to go in the BMW car club parking area. Without this you will be directed to public parking I suspect and have to walk in.

Hi Pingu
We complained about the cost of postage when we were told that we should have chosen normal post. This is the email we received.

Ticket prices are subject to an 8% booking fee payable to the ticket agency, SEE Tickets. The additional charge is a one off transaction charge to cover postage. There are two level options for the transaction charge, you having opted for Special Delivery of your tickets and car pass rather than the lower level for normal postage. I can get SEE to change this transaction charge to that applicable for normal postage if you require.

I can't guarantee it, but the same may work for you. perhaps worth a try

£5.95 for guaranteed delivery, £2.06 for non-guaranteed delivery.

I've happily paid the extra £3.89 for the guaranteed delivery of £92.35 worth of tickets :D .

If you can get me a discount on all the fuel, food and drink for the weekend, though :) .

Thanks for that, but I'm already a member of the BMWCCGB and I think it is great value for money.

I'll have to get my ticket next week :D

I'll let you know so I can be added to the ever growing list.

With regard to the BMWCCGB ZedFest on Saturday 21st July, it would be nice if Z1's attending could meet prior to their Silverstone arrival. If any owners are able to attend, let me know and I will try to arrange a suitable meeting place, to cover arrivals from both the north and the south.

This event is not to be missed as the BMWCCGGB are putting a lot of effort into staging this display and parade lap and need our support.

Thankyou for that.We are trying to include in this Classic event an opportunity to give All BMW fans, a chance to look at some of the history in the metal, that you dont get to see too often in the UK--two-three  and four wheels.

Hey all

Sorry haven't been on for a while :(

Just wanted to ask if we can be involved in the zed parade at Silverstone classics too? Will be attending with the 7 series lot for the 3 days and bringing the z3 too 8-)

This will be a special event for us - as posted elsewhere, this event was (certainly from the 7 series side) being organised by Bernie Howell. He was excited about the Classics this year (more so than usual) and determined to make it a fantastic gathering of the BMs. He was a good friend of ours, so we'll be raising more than the odd glass to a fine man who is sorely missed.

See you all soon

Hi Claire and Tasha

I am new on the BMW scene but even taking that into account I had heard of Bernie and am touched by the warm feeling I have seen everywhere for the man, so will be joining in on toasting someone who was very obviously special!

I loved the colour of your Zed! what is it!

Hey

Bernie was a very special and selfless man who loved his cars, and made organisation of every show look effortless. He acquired many good friends through the BMW car club over the years, us included. We would be honoured if anyone else who knew him and wanted to toast his memory could join us for a drink at the classics.

Thanks for the compliment - we like it too ;-) It Mora red, an individual colour. There's a few more on here too :-)

When I saw they were celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Z3 I had to pop over here to see who was attending :)

I'm pretty sure I'll be going with my mate in his F40 and taking my TVR Griffith as both marques are also celebrated this year... so should be a great event!

Anyone know how the weekend is organised over the 3 days?

You are a brunette thinker. It doesn't say apart from Mike & Mechanics on Friday and Adam Ant on Saturday. That's why I bought tickets for all 3 days :D .

Finally booked my ticket for Saturday, please add me onto the list!

I needed to keep the costs of this as low as possible but didn't fancy driving there and back in a day so I've booked the Travelodge in Rugby. £15 room only for Friday night or £21 B&B! 40 mins from the track according to Google (maybe a bit longer on the day!)
