Re: Yorkshire Dales Day Out - 25.03.12
Fantastic day out!
44 happy people and a good mix of BMW's
Several Zeds including Russ in his lovely Z8
Hope you all enjoyed the run without me (we decided to walk around Masham instead)
No camera though, I left it on the table at home
Next one is York on May 6th
Sunday 'real ale' evening in York
Warning - this event may include some drinking!
(the day after is Bank Holiday Monday so you can sleep it off)
The planned events are all in the late afternoon and on into the evening, but there is nothing to stop you spending the day in York before we all meet up.
Let me know if you need any pointers about where to park or what to see.
Here is the schedule;
16.30 - Meet up in the bar at the York Brewery on Toft Green just off Micklegate. http://www.york-brewery.co.uk/
17.00 - Brewery Tour £6 per person, price includes 2 half pints of real ale
19.00 - Evening stroll down Micklegate to the River Ouse
19.30 - Meet in The Kings Arms on Kings Staith (the pub that floods)
20.00 - York Ghost Walk £4.50 per person. Fun and educational tour of the citys alleys and snickleways - Very entertaining!http://www.theoriginalghostwalkofyork.co.uk/
21.30 - You want more? - Join us for the rest of the evening at some of Yorks better drinking establishments - real ale and live music
23.00 - Need a bed for the night? - We are using the Travelodge on Hull Road - its cheap and dead handy to get to
Enjoy!
