Tour de Yorkshire 2017 (not much notice)

Anyone fancy going to see letour? It's not next weekend, but le next  .

When it was part of Tour de France, I had a great day out and saw the bikes several times and drove some cracking roads.

My plan would be to cut across country and take in as many sightings of the race as possible. At the moment, nothing is planned. There wouldn't be any planned eateries. We would just have to do what the locals do and have fish, chips 'n' gravy on the hoof :) .

If you are interested, let me know whether you would want to do either Saturday (29/04) or the Sunday (30/04).

The Met Office advance forecast for Saturday. Not brilliant, but not raining :) .

Possibility of doing this - depends on the missus (she is jumping off IKEA in the morning!)...

Also, do we have to chase pushirons? Can we not just leisurely drive round Yorkshire at our own speed

Almost a year since DTEC - this will be quite tame.

I imagine there might be some leisurely driving involved

It will be Saturday. I'll send you the ITN. Let us know if you plan to come.

Watch out for the frog and I around Bedale. We should be passing through during the afternoon on our way to Whitby, along with another 30 or so Healeys.

Cheers R.

We won't be going that far north.

Most northerly place we will be going is Swinton / Masham.

Thanks for organising this Gary. It was a fun day out with some great roads. Really enjoyed it. It was my first properdrive out this year.
