Arial Replacement

Complete arial needs replacing, can't see obvious method. anybody done this? Help please

The aerial itself unscrews amd a replacement can be had off ebay for about £15, but if its all the base and internals, not sure i'm afraid!

As stated above, top section just unscrews.

If you need to replace the base unit (the bit the aerial screws into on the wing) then you need to remove the inner boot left hand trim to get access.

Pretty strightforward removel but the base part is c£80 to replace :shock:

It's the base part of the arial I would like to remove. The domed rubber/plastic on top of the wing is not in very good condition and needs refurbishing or renewal.

It all comes of quite easey as said Left side of the boot.
I changed mine a couple of years ago. The shock was the price from BMW for the replacement arount £70 I think !! o and the wing rubber grommet thing comes as a seperate part.

The rubber grommit is only a couple of quid, I replaced mine a while ago which is a nice and easy job.

Thanks guys, job done, replaced grommet and fitted new short aerial :)
