Mobile Phone Hands Free Kit

Post by WTR1 »

Good Afternoon,
I am looking for a Hands Free Kit for my 2007 Z4 Coupe, if anybody has good experience of either a mobile phone fixed hands free kit or a visor type it would be greatly appreciated. It will be for regular use during the drive into work.

Thanks for your time

Parrot's can not fly when wet.

Homing pigeons, on the other hand, can.
I would advise the homing pigeon.

As he has a coupe, he shouldn't need to worry about it getting wet :D

But on topic for a moment. I have considered the Parrot HF kits and they look excellent value and good featurs. Some of them will even stream music from your iPhone or the like.

In the end I opted for a Plantronics bluetooth headset. Much more convenient as I can use it all the time, rather than just in the car. Also no messing about bonding/un-bonding from the car kit when you get in/out!!

It also has the added advantage (for me) that it reliably connects to both my iPhone and Blackberry at the same time. Works really well switching between calls to both phones.

This chap was more than happy with the service he received, after taking his dead parrot back to the vendor. :)

As a straightforward hands free kit through the in-car head unit, the Parrot i9200 is excellent.
It also allows attachment and control of an iPod if required.

Only you can decide whether an ear piece or fully integrated system is best.
Having used both, I prefer the car kit (especially for extensive use) but each has its advantages and disadvantages.
Ear pieces are more portable but only you can hear the conversation.
In car kits allow passengers to hear and contribute - but you may no always want that

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
