has anyone ever taken the door panel off and seen if theres a bolt that needs tightening on the bottom of the window guide?

does the panel pop of easy or do I need to get more clips beforhand

Yes, and you will probably find loose bolts as I did.
There's quite a bit on here about taking door panels off, fiddly but easy enough.
I bought clips in advance but didn't actually have a problem with them.
If you have them they won't break, if you don't then they will!
Clips available at dealers or ebay for about £3 if I remember correctly.
