Hi guys not being electrically minded, and to save money Im gonna try and install my kenwood sub woofer, just a question can I install it by just connecting it via rca cables and of course negative and positive wires, my cd player is an Alpine CDA-9887R has 4 built in amps any help would be much appreciated cheers guys

Hello,

you need to check that your amp/unit has a sub output.

have you the user manual that shows your outputs?

have a look at this site.

ps some subs are active (powered) and some passive (non powered)

this can make a difference.
