Hi all,
Been looking on ebay etc, and can't seem to find a replacement key!! Obviously ill need the casing and the internals. Blank key blade, and programmable internals (I assume at BMW???) anybody have any ideas, or is it off to BMW dealers??
Replacement key for Z3?
Re: Replacement key for Z3?
The cheapest fully working key that will start the car is known as a "service key" and is available from the dealers. See this thread for more details: http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopi ... =5&t=32173

Re: Replacement key for Z3?
Purchased a spare key from dealers on Friday.
It's a coded key that opens all doors locks etc. unlike the service key which apparently only opens the doors and starts engine. This coded key will open the boot and the lockable glove box as well.
The service key was around £40 inc vat. This all access coded key was £54 inc vat.

For that price, I take it that it still doesn't include a remote?
