Magnetic Stone Guards

Post by Richi »

I'm sure that you will all have seen the Z3 Solutions web site for this state side company, and the magnetic stone guards which feature on their home page.

I rather fancy a set for my zeddy but when I enquired about shipping costs, I discovered that they are almost as expensive as the items themselves.

Does anyone know if these are avialable through a UK outlet ?

Thanx.

If they are not available in the UK contactact a sign maker they commonly make magnetic signs. Get some magnetic plastic materal in your color choice and make your own.

Also you might get "caught" by post office for the tax on them plus their "cut" as some people who recently got the Strong Strut did. I was "caught" when I got my stone guards, I also got the leather seat belt pads while I was ordering, but it does make it expensive if they add their bit on top

I had a pair of clear plastic film ones made up and applied. It was carried out through local Main Dealer when Z3MC was in getting a new rear hatch fitted under warranty. I think they got one of these guys in who does the side strips etc cost about £15-20 if I recall. That was 16 months ago and they still look OK. I'm sure if you look in local Yellow Pages you'll find someone that can do that sort of thing.

I don't know about your car but the "magnetic stones" as you call them go for those invisible magnets under the bonnet and surrounding the windscreen on mine!! :D

The rear arches are spotless, hope I haven't spoken too soon.
